i would if i was in greystones but i do the same in castlebar, i find runnig before a swim the swim seems better cause i was used to getting to the pool 'cold' after spending a few hours in lectures, so when warmed up from the run there was a surprise. its become normal now so i feel like crap when i dont warm up before the swim.
ive learned kindness from the unkind yet i am ungrateful to these teachers.
Good idea Theo.
Running or cycling to your swim is always a good way of getting yourself warmed up before your swim set. However I have found with cycling before a swim, in particular, can lead to cramps if it is a longish cycle or involves any significant hills. I'd say a 20 minute easy run or cycle before a swim is perfect. You can then push it on the bike or run after the swim and thats then a pretty good complete workout. Then you can put your feet up for a while, before returning to your studies.
Same again tonight folks, but a little earlier this time. Run at 5:15 from Shoreline, 45min Hill Intervals on Eden Gate, then into the pool for an hour before the club session.....
i know i'm talking to myself here, but you never know!
“training is like getting a suntan. Too much too soon and you get burnt. Not enough sun and you don’t get a tan"
You are talking to yourself alright! Il be going for a run before hopefully, but wont make it out at that time. Hope to be there for 6.15 and run for 40mins.
Yeah, good man Seamus.........Hill Intervals before a swim...............great idea!!! You'd easily know that you're the one coaching the session. I can just hear all the roars of agony from the pool with cramp!!!
See ya later.......did you notify Irish shipping of my return?! ;-)
