Quite a good turnout last night at the track for the penultimate run session of the season. This included an appearance from Conor 'The Discman' O'Neil! It was just like old times. It was a tough, but fun, session with Galen showing us all how its done, Tomas trying to 'beat the system' and Johno showing his true colours on the last 400m.
The last run session is next week at Shangannagh and Eamon is going to be giving us some tips for winter run training after we've all had a well deserved break. The official run sessions will start again in the new year. If members want to get involved in organised run training over the winter months, or in fact anytime, they are welcome to join in with the Kilcoole AC run sessions.
Anyway see you all for the last run out on the lush grass of Shangannagh Park next Tuesday 7.30pm.
I believe Scott edged out Darragh in the end to become King of the Hill.
Big cheers for Paul Purcell for doing what he was dreading doing and working to make himself less bouyant in the pool!
Anyway great session and great to see a such big turnout and lots of new faces. Welcome to all. I only got the names of two new people - Eoin & Louise - welcome. Any other new names to check?
As Darragh Flynn would say - "It's a great club!"
PS A reminder to new members - there are still places on this Saturdays Training Day with Simon Ward. For info on getting a place see the front page.
Six determined individuals made it to the run session last night in the cold wet and stormy conditions. Rafael, John M, Thomas, Scott, Gabby and myself were treated to 16 x 200m Sprints with 200m recovery. A tough set in tough conditions!
Great run session tonight, must have been close on 30 WTCers out on the hills in Charlesland, great buzz about the group. Looking forward to next week already.
Thanks to Tilley!
