remember our little spin on 1st Jan folks.

meet Ashford at 10am

weather due to be around 10 degrees, so minimal chance of icy roads over the gaps.

stock up on plenty of food and drink for the spin, we'll have a coffee stop and also make sure you have a back light on the bike for safety.

see you there on Thursday.

bump.... see you all tomorrow...

forecast

Thursday, New Year's Day, will be a mild, but a windy day, with spells of rain, heaviest in Atlantic coastal counties, where some spot flooding is possible. Top temperatures of 11 to 14 C., in strong to gale force and gusty south to southwesterly winds. More showery and less windy weather will spread from the Atlantic in the evening.

we'll make a call in the morning on the 2 gaps, or 1 gap depending on wind

I turned back this morning. Gusty winds and greasy roads are not a good combination.

Long run instead for me

See you tomorrow

looking more favourable for tomorrow.

Friday will be a windy, cool but bright day. Showers will affect parts of Ulster and Connacht, with some sleet possible on higher ground. Elsewhere it will be dry and bright. Highs of 5 to 8 degrees in fresh west to southwest winds.
