Folks,

The prestigious JD Time trial will be held on Saturday the 25th of July, at 10.00am in Ashford. That's 2 weeks before Dublin 70.3, so it is a perfect opportunity to test yourself on a long Time trial. It's 68.3km in distance and we encourage as many members as possible to participate, you can enter as an individual or as a group.

The club record for this route is 1.47 mins (Scott Graham) and the fastest times recorded last year were 1st male Darren Stanley 1:59:37& 1st Female Debs Meghen 2:16:01. A trophy is presented to the fasted Male & Female at the annual awards dinner, so get training

Route: Ashford School, heading up the Cullenmore Bends, onto the N11 to Kilmac, Long Hill, Calary, Roundwood, Laragh, Rathdrum, Glenealy - Rathnew and finishes at the Bus Stop just before Ashford.

Folks,

Just a reminder this week there will be no Saturday spin but instead we will be running the John Darcy classic TT, sign on will be from 9.45am outside the school in Ashford, Its 68.3km in distance and we would encourage all members to give it a go, we will only publish the top 3 male and female places on the website. A trophy will be presented to the fasted Male & Female at the annual awards dinner,

Last year Darren Stanley beat John Darcy by 2 seconds to win with a time of 1.59.37 & Debs Meghen was first Female with a time of 2:16:01.

We are looking for someone to volunteer to be the time keeper, no previous experience necessary ! So if you are available can you stick a post up on the forum.

Route: Ashford School, heading up the Cullenmore Bends, onto the N11 to Kilmac, Long Hill, Calary, Roundwood, Laragh, Rathdrum, Glenealy - Rathnew and finishes at the Bus Stop just before Ashford.
