Dave,

Just a quick note of thanks. Since I've started back training in October I've found the encouragement and commardary on the spins fantastic it's brought me back week on week and reminded me of what I missed about the sport also made the toughest session of the week an enjoyable one. The way it should be!!

I hope more join as I'm sick of been last over the climbs :-)

Thanks Rob M

Hi Dave...just wanted to say...I have found your posts sharing stats welcoming and encouraging members to step up and have a go at a higher group extremely inspiring ! ...the feedback of members joining your group was great and the more information available the more we can guage whether a move up is realistic !...I have found your posts motivating,a wecome insight into a cycling group i would otherwise know little about and personally would have liked to see them continue

Yes, I'd also say I found the input and encouragement good to read Dave. It's definitely made the move up from Group 3/4 seem something that is attainable rather than purely aspirational!

Hi Gaby

Your reply is very much appreciated and I absolutely accept your apology without any issue. I fully applaud your continued efforts to support the development of club mates and I do now understand the points you were trying to make, which, I agree with. As Colm suggested we might take some time together to discuss the spins and be more coordinated in our efforts.

On a related point, your comment regarding average speed being a relatively unreliable indicator of how well a group is riding is well made and quite correct. I did speak to this exact point in my original post in this stream back in December. If you haven't seen that post maybe you could take a look and share your views. I would welcome your feedback.

With regard to sharing our stats, given your own feedback and the positive comments of others who have since replied and provided opinion yesterday and today (thank you all), I would be more than happy to continue sharing the group 5 stats on the forum and look forward to hopefully seeing more riders try new groups.

Thanks again and let's speak soon.

Dave
