Some of you Wicklow-based members have expressed a S & C class in Wicklow similar to what we have in Greystones run by Alex Gray. I would like a show of hands to see who would be interested.
I have these days as options:
2.Wednesday anytime from 7am (again 45 mins)
It wont work like the Greystones option of having it after the swim session as Wicklow Pool closes at 9.45 so is too tight, and perhaps too late.
This is the class structure:
"Each class will consist of essential tools to help reduce injury and increase performance. The class will help to provide the athletes with certain tools and ideas that they can incorporate into their own training. For example, each class begin with a preparation/priming phase. In priming the body for performance, the goal is to systematically prepare the body to move. Overall body readiness is crucial in optimising performance and reducing injury potential. This will be crucial for the athletes to incorporate into their other sessions during the week. Each class will incorporate new exercises that athletes can apply to their own training.The class will bring athletes through muscle activation, Dynamic flexibility, movement integration, joint mobility and stability, CNS activation (Rapid response), functional exercises appropriate to triathlon and invaluable self-myofascial release techniques."
Once i have a show of hands we can see if the demand is there to run the class.
