Hi All

I was talking to Paul last night at running and he has entered the Dublin Marathon and I am currently thinking about it. We were wondering are many others planning marathons this autumn and would said people be interested in forming a marathon training group for the long weekend and mid week runs?

The idea would be to vary the run locations around east wicklow to keep things interesting.

Just putting it out there!!

Right so, this weekend I have the rock and Roll 1/2 marathon so that will be my long run but for the coming weeks the question is which day is better for the long run Saturday (get it over and done with early in the weekend) or the classic sunday run?

Great idea I'm on for this. Sunday early morning would be best for me for the weekend long one. Last year we had Tuesday night run club and had 8-10 people most nights. some of us that did DCM found it a real benefit. For midweek how about Tuesday nights again this year since eamons sessions will be finishing soon and people have that evening in the diary already?

Due to the King of Greystones being on this Sunday I was wondering if anyone is around on Saturday morning for a 14mile run, plan to run from Greystones to Bray along the Cliff path and back for a loop of Greystones followed by a quick dip (weather depending), plan for an early start around 9am anyone interested?
