Any interest in a midweek long swim outside the wicklow harbour starting next week? Tues or Weds about 7 or half 7? Steady pace. starting 1500 and working up to 3km over the next weeks in prep for the 4km Glendalough swim.
Not an official swim-just want to get some distance swims in.

I'll try and join you for some of this, but I've never swam in Wicklow as all I keep hearing about are the jellyfish!

On a similar thread, I've been trying to get about 2k in two mornings a week in Greystones (about 8:20am), and a longer swim on Sunday morning if that suits anyone?

I'm very slow, but company for the coffee after is always lovely even if I can't keep up!

I'll be getting in tomo morning and also possibly this evening after 8

Great Oonagh-slow is fine by me. Do enough fast stuff in Conor Fitz lanes to keep me happy

Sundays sounds good too-id be on for that.

when is the G-Lough 4km... i'd be interested in that and the training too..

good place to train is to meet at the murrough CP by the new skate park then swim parallel to the shore North for a few km, then back!

HI Guys

Don't forget the swim that is being organised to raise money to help Galen get really started on his triathlon career in Ernest, the money will be spent on a racing wheel chair that can be used in the run section of the event,

Its a great swim, just fun its not a race, we did it last year and as we are using the tides to our advantage it doesn't feel like the 3.6k, especially since you can wear fins ! I think we did it in 1.06 and we were taking it easy and waiting for each other, no heroics !

Not a bother if you want to give it a try and get into a boat if you feel tired.

It is for a great cause and one close to our hearts as athletes

Kevin
