Thanks to all the marshalls who turned out today to ensure a safe and enjoyable race - without you the race could not have been run, nevermind as smoothly as it did - thanks again.
One last request for help however. It seems many competitors did not heed the briefings in terms of littering on the bike and run course (although I'm sure some was accidental). Laura and I swept the course from Oldbridge junction to Roundwood (on the bike course) on the way home and picked up dozens of gel wrappers and a couple of big red cloud bottles clearly attributable to our race.
I suspect that the run course and the rest of the bike course may have some stray litter from our race. Could we have a couple of volunteers to cover a couple of other sections (ideally by bike): 1. Run course (that doesn't overlap with bike course 2. roundwood to laragh, 3. laragh to rathdrum, 4. laragh (up ffs hill) to oldbridge junction.
Please post here if you're able to cover a section. Really appreciate it and I'm sure the local residents will too.
Thanks again to all and those who helped not alone today, but with the course setup and registration yesterday, registration prep on Thursday evening, letter drop last week etc. etc.
