There were a handful of us that did both distances today in Killiney. It was perfect conditions and I think everyone really enjoyed it. Corinna did the 4km in skins!!
I would recommend anyone wanting to get some race experience in the sea to try this out next year. Well organised and marshalled. I loved it and for the first time I think I actually swam straight!
Thanks to deborah Meghan for the 99... Was a nice way to round off a great swim.

Thanks Heidi.

Yes was a great day. Anyone that knows me knows I hate swimming in the wetsuit so given a chance to leave it behind I do.

Did find it a little harder on the second lap to get to the first 2 buoys. Once around was delighted to be on the home stretch.

As for it been cold not at all :) There was a few pockets of cold water but equally warm pockets too. Great to be swimming on such a lovely day.

Well done to everyone who was there.

Corinna you are a total Legend doing that swim san Wetsuit, what a fab day and a really well organised race and the distance was spot on unlike my aquathon course on Wednesday ;-)

Well done to all the WTC crew, there were some great results on the day especially the 4km race with Rose leading the charge out of the water.

One for the calendar next year.

Very enjoyable if not tough swim(maximum respect to you Corinna!!)Current whipped up on the second lap, was definitely heading back to Bray with the current on the final buoy and had to go hard towards shore. Cracking day, venue, and I had to buy my own 99!!!!

Congrats to all. Great event with a really tough swim.

Discovered the zip on my wet suit was broken just before heading down to the start of the 4km so was forced last minute to have a go without. Cold got to me a bit and I probably should have called it a day after the first lap but really happy I made it around - Leinster open water races should be easy after that.

I went with a hot coffee and a silver blanket over the 99.
