First 400 individual entries (+ 60 relay entries) open for this at 6pm on Sunday 11 Jan.

Anyone else hoping to do this race this year? What do people normally do about accommodation?

did it last year even though i was a sick as a pike. nice course and good organisation but I hated every second of it on account of wanting to lie down puke/sleep most of the time. The 10k run felt like 20k. We booked a house out the road and cycled in to the start on the morning of the race. Brought the kids down and made a long weekend of it - cracking weather (which I hear is unusual) so did enjoy hanging out with the kids and building sandcastles :-P What's the cost this year?

I've done HOTW the past 2 years Michael and I stayed in a B&B called Nolans both times. We were well looked after there and it's a very short walk to the town. Moore Bay Holiday Homes are convenient too, if a large group of people are heading down and if you want the option of self-catering. I know a few people stayed in the Kilkee Bay Hotel last year, but they felt it was a tad overpriced for what they got. I'd definitely advise booking somewhere early though. It's a really popular race and accommodation fills up quickly. Lots of people have ended up in Lahinch or Ennis because everywhere in Kilkee had booked up. It's a great race though ... you'll love it :)
