Who's in for this race? I know Dan Brennan is doing the Olympic and there are unconfirmed reports that Damo "The King" McKeever might be doing it too. I know Mary, Sinead, Orla, Veronica, Dave Gillespie, and I are doing the Sprint while Audrey and Colm are doing the TryAthy race.

Anyone else?

I'm not down this year but it's great to see some of the newer members names on the competitor sheet. It's a great race with a lot of support on good portions of the course, a real carnival.

Have we a volunteer-blogger among the new to tri crew? It would be great (and super ongoing encouragement) to chronicle the build up and plunge into the deep end for the club record.

Best of luck to all (especially Damo)!

Garry

Good luck Shane and Orla - it's a fantastic race, really well-run and there's always a huge sense of occasion about it. Try to get down early, rack your bike as close to the end of a rack as you can, get your area set up and just soak up the atmosphere. Keep an eye out for people in WicklowTri colours too! The TryAthy race kicks off at 3pm (40 minutes before the Sprint) so remember to cheer on Colm, Audrey and any others doing that one as they come out of the water!

This year's run route has changed in that it's now a loop; this is great in terms of no longer having to play chicken with people on the run with only 1 clear path to run on with people running both directions, but it does mean it's less likely to see people! But I'll do my best to keep an eye out for you both.

Best of luck, enjoy and let us know how you get on!! :)
