Chairman Corbett Victorious, New Womens record set

This Sunday saw the final round of the TT league, where in blustery headwinds on the outward journey saw Jim Corbett take the league winning the day by a mere 2 seconds over Linus Devlin, with Jamie Bray in 3rd. The closest league yet in WTC's short history.

In the womens race, Siobhan Duggan back from her exploits on Mnt Blanc, tore up the form book and smashed another 36 seconds off the womens time. Deirdre Hough rocked home in second, with Grainne in 3rd.

Well done to everyone who took part in this years league in making it the closest and most exciting one yet. A total of 38 members took part in at least one race this year.

Conor Mccabe Memorial Hamper Race 2009

The senior race will run over 2 laps of the old N11, between the 2 roundabouts, with the finish just before Greens berry farm. The winner will receive the race trophy, eur250 plus a hamper. There will be hampers for the first three over the line and prizes for the first unplaced B/C, vet, lady, junior and SERC rider.

The underage participants will each receive a medal (and a selection box to replace the lost calories).

Hope to see you all there. If you are unable to race, please turn up as we will need a number of marshalls to ensure the smooth and safe running of the event.

Soup and sandwiches will be provided after the senior race in Toss Byrnes.

WTC XMAS SPIN

Our traditional Christmas spin will take place on Saturday 19^th December. We will be meeting at Ashford (Our new parking location for our saturday spins is now behind Chester Beatty's) at 10am ready to go on a nice festive spin followed by lunch in Chester Beatty's at 1pm. We will also be having a small Christmas raffle with the proceeds going to St Vincent de Paul who are doing a lot of work at Christmas to help people in our local communities and also helping those affected by the recent floods.
