The season is about to get underway, so to celebrate, we are going to get together and have drink or two!
As we have all had a long hard winter, out in the wind and rain, putting ourselves through the pain barrier, we have decided to get together for a motivational chat next Friday evening in the Burnaby in Greystones to get set for the 2008 season!
We are going to meet between 8 and 8.30pm, Bar food is served and they also stock a range of alcoholic beverages. It is a chance to plan for the season ahead, the chance for the new members to pick the brains of the old members for snippets of advice and the chance for the old members to re-kindle their motivational levels by chatting to the new members!
We hope to see as many of you as possible next Friday 9th May!

Well there is only one way to end a perfect May Bank holiday weekend and that is with a refershing dip in Wicklow Harbour. So in true Wicklow fashion nearly 30 brave souls ventured out for the first open water swim of the season.
As always there was the prelonged chat before people plucked up the courage to pull on the wetsuit. So after a quick safety chat from Coach J it was time for the plunge. As always there were one or two high pitched squeels (from the boy's I might add) but once in the water it was actually very nice.
So as Monday night pool swims will continue with Coach Jamie until early June the committee will be looking at an alternative to Monday nights for the month of May and will let you all know later in the week, as we are very aware how popular and necessary these open water swim sessions are for all members.

Amphibian King in association with Orca will be holding the only Orca Wetsuit testing night in Ireland. Orca UK will be coming over to Ireland on Wednesday 7th May 2008 between the hours of 7pm and 10pm in the National Aquatic centre Dublin we will have the Orca Sonar, Orca Apex and the Orca 3.8 ready for you to test in all sizes male and female. Buying a wetsuit is not an easy decision but getting to test the top of the range wetsuits should make that decision easier.
There is no obligation for anyone to buy a wetsuit on the night, what we do ask however is that you email us before info@amphibianking.ie to let us know your weight and height so that we can put slots aside for you to try the wetsuit on. There is no charge for the swim, all you need to do is let us know your coming and then bring yourself and your swimming togs!
