Hi All

Big New Years shout out to anyone wanting to move up to group 5. Please check out my post from a few weeks back if you haven't already.

Great time to move up. First spin of the year and we are all still feeling the effects of too much Christmas cheer and will be looking for company at the back of the group! I haven't been on the bike at all myself so nothing to fear I promise.

Hope to see a few new faces tomorrow.

Dave

Thanks Owen for putting up a lovely scenic route , although we didn't have much time to enjoy the view.
Group 2 worked very hard today , up and overs all the way , while spinning furiously on the small ring , a big thanks for all the drags that gave us plenty of time to do our over gearing .There were no slackers , lots of red faces at the end .
Distance 71 km . Av., speed 25.3 - 25.4 kph ,depending on the last Effort .A really good start to the Year.

Owen when are you coming back cycling so that the routes might get easier!!
That was a nice wake up call this morning on the 9am cycle don't think I could talk for the first hour. Great to see so many people out and long may the good weather last.
Thanks
Marie

Group 5 stats for everyone from Saturdays spin.

95k
1450m of climbing including brown mountain and slieve Mann among others!
Avg speed 25k so we almost beat group 2!!
Big group 12 started and most finished

Well done to Edwina who moved up and joined us and stayed out for the whole spin. She rode really strongly on a tough route. And to Rob Moran who is getting stronger every week. Well done guys.

The expected attack from Linus on Slieve Mann didn't happen though Dermo wouldn't have seen it anyway cause he was encouraging everyone from way off the back!

Next week will be easier please Owen. Hoping to have a few more at least give it a go for one spin and follow Edwina's example.

Cheers
Dave
