I could stand in for you this weekend with Group 1.

I am actually down for leading Group 1 on Saturday 6th April, but I am down to do the duathlon that day, so if you could do that for me then we can call it a straight swap.

Jim

Thanks Jim,

I cant commit 100% to Saturday the 6th as I am doing the Connemara marathon the next day, however pencil me in as cover. An easy spin might be good for me.

Great spin today. Some people had to turn back so we finished up with
eight in our group. We tried to follow route as proscribed. The mist was too thick so we altered our route down to sea level.Attacked the circuit from last week and all seemed to have given it loads.
Then back to Burke Oil Sprint so there were a few tired legs in Avoca for coffee. As we huddled under the lamps trying to warm up we really pitied all
those on warm weather camp .
67 km avg.25 kph.

Well done to the New to Tri/Recovery Group which had, 'Definitely New To Tri' Jonathan, 'Not So New To Tri' Catherine & Hiedi Jo and 'I'm doing the Melbourne IronMan in Two Weeks Time' Conor!

We were out for 2 hours and 48 minutes, completed 49.27k with an average speed of 17.6kph.

Misty early and wet later, pretty cold too.

Groups 3 and 4 joined foces agaun today. 11 made our way to the interval start at Coolwella and soon discovered this road had it all... puddles the width of the road, loose gravel, cow dung, pot holes, occassional tractors, along with misty murky conditions etc etc.

Despite this we got a good pace going and everyone put in a really impressive shift. Most somehow managed the 5 laps and it was a tired bunch, now down to 8, which rolled in to Ashford in the rain.

Everyone present can be happy with the effort today. Some very strongperformances. Roll call was Darren O'S,Darren S, Ronan S, John R, Mike F, Mick H, Tom, Colin B, Owen, me and Nicola doing it for the girls.

Thoughts turned to Lanza and we collectively sighed that those over there had to miss out on such a wonderful experience...... NOT!
