If anyone is free on the Sunday 14th July it would be great to see as many people as possible.
2km swim for anyone who wishes to try that distance without the pressure of a race or maybe to get your pb time.

All money raised is going direct to charity.

Please add yourself to the Facebook swim for kayla

The link above it what the family are trying to raise money for.

Hi all just an update on the swim on Sunday if anyone is still interested in it.

The 2Km Swim for Missy Kayla 2013 takes place on Sunday July 14th, commencing 14:30 from Naylor's Cove at the foot of Bray Head and following a course north along the seafront and into the finish at the beach in Bray Harbour. Bray Sailing Club changing facilities will be available to participants before and after the event. For those who wish to arrive directly to the start point, kit bags will be ferried to the finish line once the swim has commenced. The Clubhouse will be open from about 13:00 so all are welcome to come along during the afternoon to show their support for Missy Kayla and the swimmers. There will be a licensed bar, barbecues offering premium quality beefburgers and veggie burgers and a fantastic moroccan chickpea & lentil soup to revive the swimmers.

Bray Sailing Club have kindly offered to provide rescue power boats and East Coast Kayaks will be providing kayaks to accompany swimmers along the course. The Irish Long Distance Swimmers Association have offered to provide Waypoint Marker Buoys and Civil Defense will be providing medical support onshore.

Swimmers are welcome to swim whatever distance suits as it will be possible to join in at a number of entry points along the course, at 1km, 750m, 500m etc. A van will be at the start point to collect up kit bags etc and ferry them to the finish line.

You can show your support for Missy Kayla and the swimmers by making a donation here and if you would like to participate on the day simply indicate "I will be swimming XKm on the day" in the comment box when making your contribution. Swimmers are also welcome to come along to the start line and make a donation on the day (min €10)

Thank you for your interest and support. Once you have made your contribution you will receive an email confirming and thanking you.

Best Wishes,
Emmett, Paula, Kayla & Jamie
