So now that you are all ready for more training we have managed to get Gary Crossan to join us for a couple of hours on Sat 13th Feb meet at track carpark 9.30am. (Gary has TI commitments on Sunday's so you will need to switch your bike and run this week, probably best as you may need fresh legs!!!). This is a technical session so will be on road/path.
Gary is a four time national marathon holder with a PB of 2hrs19min. He has represented Ireland many times including at elite duathlon level, world running champs, European champs as well as coaching other top Irish athletes such as Maria McCambridge in 5000m in Athens 2004. I think we can say we are lucky to have him help us out.
Gary knows we are targeting NS as a women's team and we need all of you on board. This session will be based on those aiming to compete at Olympic distance but as an experienced coach Gary will manage all levels (plus he's going to ask Eamonn what are running is like!).
It would be great to see as many of you as possible on the day so bring your selves and I'm sure we'll all pick up some tips.
Sorry Karen, I lost sight of this over the weekend. I will be there.
Maybe those of you like me who lost sight of this could come back to Karen and let her know if you are available. I'm sure Gary's session will be great and will complement and support the coaching we get from Eamonn - you can never have enough good technical advice as it not only improves your running but helps to prevent injuries.
