Every summer Coach John Darcy hosts the John Darcy Classic TT – also called the Mountain TT. But don’t let that put you off!
The fastest riders take off last so we aim to have all participants finish at the same time. Please review the rules below and in case of new members please check the maps! There have been a few cyclists who have taken the wrong turn…
Remember, the roads are not closed for this event so please follow the standard rules of the road. We will have two volunteers to time the riders but besides that – there are NO MARSHALLS!! It is up to the participant to know the route. Any variations of the route will lead to an automatic DQ.

Participants leave at 9am sharp, be there 10 minutes before your allocated start time. The route starts on the L113 at Coolbeg, right up Deputies, left to Rathdrum, right to Clash, into Aughrim over the bridge and left to Woodenbridge, left to Avoca, right into Avoca and then right to climb over by Shelton Abbey, left onto N11, finish at The Wildes (old Beehive)
